veidt_fans pisses me the fuck off. Because, look, I'm as much on the "Veidt is waaaay coded queer" train as anyone (especially in the movie) but, sorry children, IT'S NOT CANON!. Subtext =/= canon. Sadly,it doesn't. I just... doesn't. End of story.So, if people want to write Adrian/OFC fics, they can without subverting canon. Fucking up his characterization? Sure. Not always. NOt in every case. ( cut for movie spoilers and my Watchmen OFC fic spoilers )

3. People's reactions to Watchmen are starting to raise my bloodpressure. I mean, it can be the headache talking, but ( spoilers, repetitive points )

Mar. 6th, 2009 06:43 pmI'm really, super exhausted today. All week. Which is fine, but, you know. Annoying.
So. I'm going to see Watchmen tomorrow. While, in the end, I'm thinking it won't matter, the main reason I'm going tomorrow instead of today is I know that between the violence and the fact I can't stop thinking about it anyway, it just wouldn't be good for me to see it. I'd be thinking/dreaming/obsessing about it all night. I want to be able to sleep tonight and have more time to think about it tomorrow (never mind I'm finally allowed to work on my novel again... YAY!)
Anyway, I also want some more time to get through the book. I'm about halfway through my second read. ( Thoughts )
I really want to write a Rorschach-sue. Mostly, I want to write it because someone (don't know them; just saw the comment) finished the book and went, "Oh no! People are going to write Rorschach sues!" And I'm just so sick of it, you know? 'Cause, guess what? Just becuase people write bad fic about source material you enjoy, doesn't mean you have to read it. It also doesn't hurt either the source material or your enjoyment of it. There are always good fics out there, maybe it's harder to find them, but they're there. Just... stop being sucky.
Also, I'm thirsty.
