So, if people want to write Adrian/OFC fics, they can without subverting canon. Fucking up his characterization? Sure. Not always. NOt in every case. Hell. Adrian's gay in my fic, and I still think he's gonna fuck my (asexual) OFC simply because he's so thrilled she's alive, was so convinced he'd killed her, and in such a state of disbelief that she's not dead, he can't quite believe she's alive until he's experienced her on all levels. (if that makes sense and if I can pull it off).
Also, I'm pretty sure the BOYS folder was A) on the Pyramid disc and thus is either an acronym or, ikd, the a list of info about the boys in the lab or whatever. And b) was there internet/computer porn in 1985?

What really gets me is the first time I stumbled across them (thinking "Hey, cool! A community about a character I like) they were picking on someone who's Twitter account was "mrs_veidt". So, probably (hopefully) a kid. And calling her homophobic (not to her face, but still).
