So, I see that the time/distance between SV and Metropolis has officially shrunk to 20 mins or so.

And I thought Lana and Clark were broke up. My interest in this episode has exponentially decreased and its only 15 minutes in.

And now I'm jsut... nope, spoke too soon. It's all good. Boring, but all good since having Clark dump Lana is only secondary to why he hired her.

Anyway, do we have any bets for how long "forever' will last this time.

Things I didn't like:

I don't like that Jonathan's death was ignored entirely. I realize that the episode with girl!Batman was supposed to be about Clark getting over it, but that's not how it works, is it? Death of your dad lingers, and could easily affect the way Clark feels about Lana. And that line about "grow up and wait for you to get over your issues" thing? Is the only part about the break-up that I really hated. Because, yes, I know his issues started before Jonathan's death, but didn't it start after Clark's? Two very traumatic incidents in a short time, and that does change your feelings for the people around them. But Lana can't think about hings like that because that would mean thinking about others.

Things I did like:

Clark realizing that Lana isn't the one.

Things I don't like:

Why the hell does Lana have a reason to hate Clark? Because he doesn't love Lana? He didn't say he wasn't hypnotised, just that his feelings had changed, and he didn't love her. You know? I don't care anymore. This show is losing me. The entire episode is boring and the charaters continue not to compute and it's not fun.

Although, I do still like Fine. And I want that Fine/Lex/Clark Au fic.

It seems to be the Clana rule, they have to go through the motions of breaking up like 10 times before they actually break up.

I've already pretty much forgotten the whole ep, except for Chloe's sidekick stuff and Martha firmly being in the "Lana's not The One" camp.

My reaction was much the same as yours on all these points. I plan a rewatch tonight, as always.

Even for a young woman with a good car (albeit recently wrecked) I was thinking: a 3-hour drive without a bat of an eyelash? Lana was just, like, "Oh, Clark wants me to come over..." SV always strains credulity, but when they disregard little things like this, it just lessens my interest even more. It's so sloppy.

The Clana is like crack for AlMiles, so I'm figuring they won't be able to let it go this time, either. Cockroaches and Clana will be all that's left after the holocaust.
