Stupid computers

My health insurance company called my number twice for another woman. I called back today to tell them that they have the wrong number. It was a recording,though, and since I'm a member, it was eager to share the message with me.

The message? Get a pap smear.

I don't wanna. I got one last year, I'm not sexually active (unless masturbation counts and I don't think it does) and I don't wanna.

Besides, I'm more worried about my boobs. Last night I had a dream my nipples turned green and started secreting green gunk. I don't know what the dream means, because dream dictionaries tend not to have my dreams in them, but it was frightening.

I got one of those messages too. I wonder if they send out messages telling men to get their prostates checked. Sheesh.

They really should! It's a simple blood test for them and that's the cancer that kills the most men. People should be made aware of that fact. =>}

I'm 55 and I've had a Pap smear every year of my life since I was 21. I've had the same partner for 33 of those years. It is not only sexually active women who need this test.

Please take care of yourself. An ounce of prevention really IS worth a pound of cure. =>}

Mammograms are something I hate, but I still undergo them when needed. My best friend died of breast cancer at the age of 40. Makes you realize that a little pain now can prevent a whole lot of pain later. =>}

YOu only really need one every three years if you're not sexually active, under a certain age (can' remember the age) and never had an abnormal pap. I've had one every year since I was 18; I can skip this year.
