Any thoughts I had about the movie were wiped away by my huge, hot, throbbing, very-close-to-sobbing in the parking lot disappointment at the fact that Javert was not on the barricade at the end with all the other dead people. And I can't really articulate why he should be there except he gave Gavroche his medal and he deserved to be there, right next to Valjean, because they are going to be best friends in the afterlife and it's not fair.
