A Princess Never Chases a Chicken
Dec. 11th, 2004 09:36 amI need an new address book. Mine is stupid and still has people in it from my first year of college. People I'll never hear from again ane never contacted in the first place. So, that's one thing I'll be doing today. Getting a new address book. Yay!
So, I've rewritten the beginning of COTW 48. Am working away on it today. I don't have anything to grade and almost nothing to plan since it's all at school, so it's basically a free day.
I think the anti-depressants are making me really, really tired. I'll have to start taking them at dinner so the effects are mostly worn off by morning.
There was something else I wanted to write about. Oh! Joan of Arcadia. I'm so pissed; they hijacked my thoughts.
Remember how back during the Olympics, I wanted to put Clark on the diving team? Well, I don't know if I'll do the team, but I do know how I'm incorporating diving into the fic. I've been workign it out for days, right down to the whole surrender speech that they then fricking *gave* last night on JoA.
It was a little freaky to hear my thoughts coming out of Judith's mouth. *shudders* It wasn't quite the same, but very, very close.
*sigh* Now it'll look like I plagerized. Or was inspired by the show, which I wasn't.

Annoying but that sort of thing happens all the time. It's horrible to have a great scene pop into your head and a few days later read almost the exact same thing in another story. Then you have to decide, do I drop it, or write it anyway and hope no one thinks it was lifted from the the other fic.*G
If it's on TV, well, that just goes to show, you could easily be writing for television. (And boy, do I wish you were writing for SV.)

Date: 2004-12-12 09:53 am (UTC)Hee! Me too. I'm not too worried about my scene showing up on TV; it happens a lot. Angel stole an entire character from me once. Screwed her up, but still, that was expected. I was just a little shaken to see what I'd *just* come up with on Joan. *sigh*

Date: 2004-12-12 09:54 am (UTC)This one seems to be doing it's darn best to cause both. I'm having trouble getting to sleep because I cannot stop moving around, and then, I don't want to wake up.
One more week until winter break.....
