Finally, proof that I'm not just on crack!
it looks increasingly like Boone and Jack are going to be announcing their engagement any day now,
Someone said that over on TWOP. I mean, I know my pairings *eventually* catch on (just look at Jack/James; I walked out of the theater sure I'd be the only one who slashed them, and it got so popular, they won the Fandom Elections), but last night, it was *so* blantant Jack and Boone are doing it. And now other people see it too! And it's not just becuase of the Pretty factor! (I think).
Anyway, am not any more motivated to watch SV today than I was last night. Don't know why; I really should. I did switched it on for a moment last night and saw that scene with the you know what and That Girl telling Him to do something that, according to what I've read, leads to injured areas.
Which is funny, because I just injured the same area on Him in COTW 48. Differently, but still.
You know, considering that the next Lost fic I was going to write had an eerily similar scene between Boone and Sawyer as was on last night, I'm beginning to think I've tapped into some creative unconciousness and am stealing bunnies from the creators minds. Which, goood, because for years, tehy've been stealing for me. It's time for payback.
Of coruse, I don't make money off this. *sigh*

Date: 2004-11-11 09:52 am (UTC)By the way, who are Jack and James?

Date: 2004-11-11 10:37 am (UTC)They make a cute couple, I think.
They do. And they just fit so nicely. It was really nice to see them relating as basically equals last night, because they hadn't done taht before. Even though Jack was caring for Boone, the way Boone was talking to Jack really showed that they're on a level playing field now, unlike in the Pilot and White Rabbit, and I *love* that.
*sigh* So happy. :)

Date: 2004-11-11 03:22 pm (UTC)I read your revised version of Bug, and I really enjoyed it. It felt fuller, if that makes sense. A little more fleshed out. I imagine it's hard to write Boone, and even Jack, when we know so little of their back story, but I think you're doing an admirable job.

Date: 2004-11-13 10:31 am (UTC)It makes perfect sense. A lot of what was added didn't really impact the "plot", exactly, but it fleshed out the story and the characters a bit.

The hardest thing, right now, is knowing that I'm going to be jossed to high heaven, especially come Boone's episode. I mean, I'm comfortable in the AU business, and I can't wait until they finally get around to telling us his story, but it's still unnerving to know all this work is for naught.
But it is fun. :)
