Holy crap, Wednesday is goign to be insane. First, it's our first staff meeting. It's also the day before Back to School night, and it's the day when all the kids are being moved. Oh, I odn't think I mentioned any of it: since my school is technically overstaffed by 2 teachers, but we lost a sixth grade teacher and can't get rid of any other ones, they're collapsing a third grade class and creating combos. The third 6th grade is being moved to the old 3rd grade class, and that teacher is moving up to 6th. This confusion is the main reason I agree to team: A. I get to teach reading (behold the power of tears, yo) and B. it'll be easier on the teacher who's moving up.

So that happens Wednesday. And then there's the shows:

Smallville (of course) must be taped in my room. If I tape it in the living room, it flips on my VCR and I can't watch it. Lost, then, will be taped in the living room. Then, I have to take out the SV tape, switch channels, and put in a new tape for Veronica Mars. I don't know if I'll tape every episode of either Lost or VM, but if I want to see at least the pilots, I have to, beause, chances are, I'll be in bed by 9:30 again.

Anyway, a little late, but

This is just off the top of my head, so I may miss stuff.

Sunday:

Jack and Bobby
Simpsons
Arrested Development

Monday:

Everwood

Tuesday:

Gilmore Girls

Wednesday:

Smallville
Veronica Mars
Lost

(that's in order of importance)

Thursday:

Joey

Friday:

Joan of Arcadia

You want to know the ironic thing? Wednesday used to be the death slot for me. I stopped watching Voyager not becuase I disliked the show, but because I coudln't remember anything that was on on Wednesday, especially after Tuesday became the Most Important Night of the Week. Now? It's all about Wednesday.

Okay, gotta work. Loves you all.

Interesting...

I was just sitting here mentally going through my fall tv schedule. It's always a delicate balance to make sure the right tape is taping in the right room. Makes me want to get Tivo more and more. I think I've convinced myself that I'm just waiting for the price to go down, but it's not really holding up, because I have DirecTV and they have a special on the DVR receiver that they keep sending me that is just far too tempting.

Can you tape mor than one thing at a time on TiVO? Because, when I move, I'd like to get something more efficent than a ton of VCRs, but I wasn't sure if TiVO would be for me.

From reading this, it seems possible. Of course now that I've mentioned it, I just had to call (actually still on hold now!) and ask them to explain it to me in laymen's terms.

I received an answer. You can record two programs at the same time and watch a third that has been previously recorded. Or you can record one program and watch another live. I hope that makes sense. It didn't help to learn this because I still want it, but I'm going with the waiting until the price goes down. Even though the lady told me on the phone that I could put it on an installment plan!
