Y'all don't know this, but in RL, I.m constantly making up "new rules." I have about 14 billion of them, and one day I plan to write them all down and publish them under the title "New Rule." B Because, while some of them are actual, common sense good rules, some of them are just wacky weird and I say them for the hell of it.
By the way, I've figured out that my favorite number is 14 billion. I constantly use it in RL. For example, 14 billion people are surviving the plane crash on Lost. There will be 14 billion people at Disney's California Adventures on Saturday to see Dominic Monaghan. I had to go over 14 billion rules today in class.
You get the picture.
Anyway, here is the New Rule:
We shall no longer call it "femanization" of men. Nope. Nadda, zip, zilch. It's a. a stupid term, b. offensive, and c. untrue. Most of the time, they're not even acting like women. They're acting like stupid people. Or maybe emotionally stunted baby-things.
I realize that I'm not teh first person to come up with this rule. I've distinctly seen
lexcorp_hope say it before. But, dude, seen it again, so, therefore, it is a New Rule.
I have a headache and tehre's a vein in the back of my neck that's pulsing. Still writing, though. Yay.

Date: 2004-09-10 05:42 am (UTC)You may actually be prompting me to work on something I've been thinking about for a while: "How to tell feminization from infantilization, and why most of what is bugging us is the latter not the former". Basically, parent-child is *the* most basic relationship, and we've all been children so acting/thinking childishly comes easily & naturally to us all.
