I'm going to hell

I accidently killed a fairy last night. I didn't mean to, but the words slipped out when I was teasing my mom. She kept calling Arwen a fairy, so I said those words scornfully, like it's so ridiculous to think there are faries in Tolkiens world.

I got a set of twin gasps and then, "ooohhhhhh," (this from a 15 and 52 year old).

My sister and I spent the next five minutes shouting, "I do believe in faries! I do! I do!"

But I fear that my crime cannot be undone. *sob*

My mom calls them fairies, too - and, whoa, I came close. I must have better instincts. heh. Practice this: "Not 'fairies', mom. Elves!"

And she LOVES Tolkien. She must be more of the Peter Pan generation though.

Much better instincts. I didn't even realize what I"d said for a few seconds, and coudln't understand why my sister was lookign at me like that.
