Jun. 14th, 2004 12:55 pmOkay. So, remember all that angsting I've been doing about not finding a teaching job? Things are getting better. I've got another interview scheduled. This one is for this Thursday in a school district south of here. Not quite San Diego, but it's not in my immediate comfort zone, which is good It doesn't pay as much as the one on Monday will pay, but I still need to interview, right?
As if I won't be nervous enough, though, this one is on a military base. So I've got to go through Marines before I face the principal. To compensate, they're giving me the questions early (well, not compensate, but they are), but I don't know if that's a good thing. I'm really good at speaking off the cuff and saying really brilliant things that I hadn't really thought of before. That's why I'm so good at interviews despite being shy. I'm a little nervous about knowing the questions, but I'm sure I'll be fine.
So, *so* nervous, and now I'm all frustrated about this temp thing. I didn't realize everyone would start calling for interviews now. *grr*
ETA: Being out of my comfort zone is a good thing. Ideally, I'd like to move somewhere where I haven't seen everything since birth. Since the school I'm interveing for new week is close enough, I probably won't be moving very far away from home. However, if I get the job on the military base, I'll have to move to an entirely new area, which is a good thing.
