Sometime last year, this guy at 24 Hour Fitness started hassling me. Nothing bad. He was an employee trying to make a sale. I went to one free personal training session, missed the second due to testing, and never went back. To the gym, I mean. I *hated* 24 hour fitness. It was too crowded, too noisy. The classes were never convientent and full of idiots. I couldn't stand half the teachers. Any time that I could go, the gym was packed. The pool was like a hot tub and dirty. It was just unpleasant.
So I stopped going to the gym completely until January when I got all depressed. There's an all women's gym nearby that I joined, and while i haven't been going regularly, I've been going enough. I was hoping this summer to start getting a better routine.
I came home to a letter today. They're closing all the gyms except one that's forty mintues away. To make up for the inconvience, they set up a deal with 24 hour fitness. They'll honor my contract, maybe offer other stuff, but I can still go.
*screams*
I don't *want* to go to that fucking gym. So now I'm out a gym, and don't know what to do. There's LA fitness down the street, but I'll run into the same problems as 24 hour. I can't go to any of these 30-mintue women gym things around because unless I decide to become an actress, I can't afford to lose any weight. I'm just so ... pissed.
What I'd almost like to do martial arts somewhere. But it has to be reasonably priced; last time I checked out a place (not what i wanted, but still) it was like 50 dollars a class. I'd rather enroll monthly or something.
Sucks, sucks, sucks.
