I don't have much to say about it right now. I *loved* it. Overwhelmingly. My heart melted at the first Lex/Lana scene, and then just broke at the last Clark/Lana scene. That last scene, Clark's final realization, him finally growing up, and the kiss. The look on her face. It was just beautiful.

Emily was delightfully creepy. A little six year old (not even that) in a teenagers body, desperatly trying to hold onto the only thing that matters to her. Effectively scary.

The thing with Pete was well done. I'm skeptical that he's really moving only becuase I don't know any casting/leaving spoilers except for one I inadvetenly read in someone's journal. And even that doesn't necessarily mean it's true. I was a little annoyed at Pete immediatly having to warn Clark that the evil Lex Luthor knows. Of course he knows *something*, Pete. He's not stupid or willfully blind. But, for the first time, we've got Lex admitting out loud that maybe it was better Clark didn't tell him. I was so proud of him, and then Pete *again* has to twist it around.

At least Jonathan was consistent in not wanting Clark to tell Lana. Again, if Clark really had to choose who was better to tell, I'd still go with Lex. I honestly think that Lana would break Clark's heart over it. She'd try to be nice, but she'd be horrified, and that's not what Clark needs. He doesn't exactly need the worship Lex once would have given him, but I think now Lex is ready to accept Clark's secret for what it is and let it be. Well .... I'll take that back. He might try to use Clark, but it wouldn't be for Lex's own good. He'd be doing it for a. Clark's good and b. the world's. And because he wanted to get rid of Lionel.

I'm glad someone finally told Lex about Lionel's crime. And I'm glad Chloe recovered the files and reacted the way she did to Clark. Yay for Chloe seeing Clark's stupidty in not revealing *that* truth.

I cracked up with Lionel ripped open Lex's shirt. Just busted up. It was funny.

So, yeah. I was happy with this episode, and now am back to being tied in knots over the upcoming one. Season finale. *trembles*

I saw Pete's second comment "He's going to keep digging til he finds out" to Clark about Lex as petty and mean. I get why Pete may warn Clark about Lex's saying he all but knows the Secret, but that second part. Sheesh! Plus the fact that Lex told Pete it was Lionel investigating/siccing the FBI on Clark, what Pete says reinforces that petty meanness.

But it was still a good episode. And the trailer leads to scared feelings as the cliff approaches, as well as more fic.

Yeah, it was the second comment that drove me crazy. Becuase Lex all but said, "It's a good thing I don't know, and I don't think I'll dig anymore." At least, that's what it sounded like to me, but Pete's more suspicious, so ...

I highly enjoyed the ep.
