The Punisher

Rarely is it that, when you go see a movie and start chanting in your head, "Kiss him! Kiss him!" that chant answered. Especially in a gratioutously violent comic book flick.

But, dude!!! There was boy kissing! And one of the boy kissers (Quienten, played by Will Patton) was someone attractive!! Okay, he was a twisted, sadistic sonofabitch, but he kissed a boy. And was so obviously in love with John Travolta's character. During his last scene, when Travolta started beating on him, you could see that bemused, aroused enjoyment that was just ... love.

You know. Until he was stabbed and killed.

I've actually seen this actor in person. He was at the screening of "The Mothman Prophecies" I was at. He's a lot cuter as a sick, twisted, sadistic sonofabitch than he was that night, but that's Hollywood.

The movie was okay. It was really slow to start, which was annoying. And Jane just didn't have the emotion or whatever to really make me feel his plite, which is probably why they showed the kid and wife getting killed. Okay, maybe not, but anyway. Jane was nice to look at, but I'm not rushign to any of his movies anytime soon.

I did like how at the end, when I started cringing at the violence and thinking that maybe it was over the top, all it took for me to forget was the camera pull back to show the Punisher symbol in fire. I was all, "Cool," and, thus, forgot about the cringing. Sort of.

I was going to post an image of Thomas Jane to show ya'll what Batman would probably look like in the COTW universe, but by computer is being stupid, so it'll have to wait.

Oh, and I totally did not recognize Kevin Nash. Because he was uglified in this movie. His mane was shorn, and beard shaved and he looked icky. V. sad.

That is so true. I was squeeing when I saw the boy kissing.

Dude! Boy kissing!! Everyone's raving about the boy kissing! Now I have to see it. But wait - he doesn't kiss John Travolta does he? Ewww....

God, no. He kisses some random guy whose face you dont' really see and then he never shows up again. So it's not that huge of a deal. It was just that, dude, there was boy kissing in this movie. :)
