Let me see if I understand the progression of thought in a reverse continutity sense:
Lionel is experiementing with Clark's blood.
He's diagonsed with a rare liver disease and, fortuitiously, the liver is the fastest processor of blood cells (or whatever Tang said last week), so he started experimenting on people with rare liver diseases. And it all works very, very well. His first success is Adam ,and, on seeing how beautiful Adam is, Lionel sends him off to Smallville to spy on Clark via Lana.
And then ... Lionel is told his disease is terminal.
...
Nope. Sorry. I enjoyed the episode, but the convoluted nature of that is stupid. Especially in light of the FBI/Lex plot. Choose one! Adam is a clone, Lionel is using the serum to A. grow clones and B. cure liver disease for himself. Or Adam is a clone/zombie, Lionel doesn't want Lex close to the project for some reason, and Lionel is dying. One. Not all.
Teen Crisis Hotline, huh? Didn't I have one of those? Of course, it was in Metropolis, but it was mentioned. And I just wrote a whole scene about Aaron being a crisis counselor. Maybe he passes the mantal onto Clark? Helps him start it?
I had fun with the episode. I'm sorry that Adam's storyline fizzled. I don't think Lionel will shoot himself, because it's un-Lionellike. He's the type to go out in a blaze of glory after some grand gesture (including destorying any record of his own illness). I'm thinking some writer didn't read my whole fic to see that Lionel didn't kill himself; he was killed by someone else. :)
Anway. Pretty Lex. Pretty Adam, even when he's yellow. Pretty Clark. Pretty Chloe. Much prettiness. Yay!

So, yeah, I'm on the Modern Theatre side of the fence tonight, because there was some fun character work with Lex and Clark, and everyone looked really good!
