Bi, Not Curious
Feb. 10th, 2004 07:51 pmI've never been bi-curious, only bi-sexual. There are moments when I feel more like a bi-sexual lesbian, but even in my "straighter" moments, it's not curiosity that makes me bi. I mean, I'm not curious about being in a relationship with women, or having sex with women. I *want* to. I even, I suppose, want to have sex with men (can you tell I'm in a bi-lesbian mode right now?;)
So, for me, bi-curious was never an issue, even when other bi-sexual or lesbian women told me I couldn't say I was bi until I'd tried it. I know what I want. Who I want. Who I'm attracted to. It's never been about curiosity. It's always been about attraction.

I think they're beautiful words and it's too bad gay men don't have something as pretty. Gay is just ... bleh. It's okay, but it's not pretty and interesting and fun to say.
What's funny is in Corner of the World, Clark has a lot of angst about lables and such. And I never have. Wonder what that means. :)
Personally think that it is bullshit that someone has to try something in order to know if attracted to it. If a gay person can know that they are gay at 6, then why can't you be bisexual without having sampled the goods?
I totally agree. I dont' understand, but, most of the time, I don't bother to pursue the reasons they think that way. I just figure they're wrong.

Cool! I hope you continue to enjoy!
