The lovely
soft_princess has made a Damien/Dominic OTP icon. I've been dying for one forever, and I finally have one!!!
soft_princess has decreed that if anyone is interested in using it, they may. Of course, you might get people looking at you funny and asking, "Who's Damien?" so be warned. {g}
Thank you
soft_princess!!!!!!
Thank you

Date: 2004-01-10 12:09 pm (UTC)CotW and Reporter Lex!
Date: 2004-01-10 09:01 am (UTC)It was a wonderful surprise to see the new chapter, I am really looking forward to see how you introduce into the series the Caves and the Numan/Zeget relationship. I was surprised by how you linked Helen to Dominic's past instead of Lex's.
I am not much of a Chole/Lana shipper, because I really hate Lana and can't even begin to wish her on anybody (not even Pete!). But in your series she's not perfect so that's an improvement.
Your Take on Julian's death was truly heartbreaking and Lex's inability to deal with the grief of losing both Ryan and Julian was very much in character and very telling. Love the relationship between Lex and Martha and how Jonathan seemed to understand that Lex needed comfort (even if he was not happy to have in his house again)
So much to say, but the main point is: I enjoyed it.
As for your ReporterLex, I am truly in love with it. Even Jonathan was perfect! And Louise is great as a Villainess with still some feelings left for Lex.
I guess that's enough for a little note! BTW, who is the actor playing Damien in the icon?
Re: CotW and Reporter Lex!
Date: 2004-01-10 10:55 am (UTC)Yeah, me too. ;) I'm having some trouble figuring out how to introduce all that right now. I have vague notions, but it's not set in my mind yet. But, i'm sure once I start working on it, it'll become clearer.

Truth is, it was a surprise to me, too. It wasn't something I'd planned. I was literally writing the scene when Helen walked in and was all, "Dominic! But you were my fiancee, wtf?" And I loved it. I did realize later that some of it might have been from seeing the two of them in a movie together where she had a crush on him. But it was subconsious. I think it works well, though. I'm trying ot build a more interesting background and motivation for Helen than the show did, because i think she was such a wasted character.

Thank you. That was a difficult scene to write, but it was such in Lex's character. He really striks me as a person who has no idea how to grieve because he's never been allowed to do so. And he has such horrible guilt over things that aren't his fault. ... He's a lot like Clark in a way. :)
Jonathan seemed to understand that Lex needed comfort (even if he was not happy to have in his house again)
Actually, he wasn't all that upset. He's grown used to it, and almost views Lex as a son now. Especially after what he did for Ryan.
So much to say, but the main point is: I enjoyed it.
Thank you. I'm very glad you did. ANd I'm happy you're enjoying Reporter!Lex as well. It's really fun to write, especially as a WIP. I havne't done that in such a long time. I love getting feedback to a. motivate me and b. help me decide where to go. It's great!
The actor in the icon is James Purefoy.
Thanks for the detailed fb!!!

Date: 2004-01-10 05:01 pm (UTC)I didn’t know who you pictured for Damien, and I don’t know James Purefoy, but he sure look like the Damien in my mind. ;-)
And I totally adore the last chapter of CotW.
You did an awesome job with Clark/Lex’s relationship, it hurts to see them struggling but they’ve got to face it.
I’m curious, who do you picture for Mr. Townsend?

Date: 2004-01-10 08:26 pm (UTC)I actually wasn't picturing any particular actor. I just knew he had dark hair, brown eyes, a broad forehead, and was very handsome. When soft_princess wanted to make an icon, I did some looking and found him. It was a good match. I just lucked out, I guess. :)
The closest person I picture for Mr. Townsend is an actor named Eyal Podell. He was on an episode of Everwood and when I saw him, I thought, "Hey. There's Mr. Townsend." There's a picture of him here.
And I totally adore the last chapter of CotW.
Thanks!!!
