Nov. 25th, 2003 05:22 pmAnother good day. I really like teaching. I know that sounds stupid to say, but I do. I guess I forgot that with my first assignment. I hope I don't forget it in the future.
Thanksgiving plans have ... changed. Originally, we were going to drive down to the San Diego area for Thursday and Friday, visit the family in the goregous house, play with the babies, look at the ocean, and have fun. Only now, my uncle's father is in a rehabilitation clinic. He has prostate cancer (I think it's prostate) and recently fell and is injured badly enough that they're keeping him in. So we have to do Thanksgiving nearby so his grandkids can visit him beacuse not only is he hurt, but it's nearing the end.
YOu know, it's totally and completely selfish for me to say this, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to go to another funeral. It's been two years since my Nana's funeral, but it was *so, *so* hard for me, I'm just not sure .... I mean, I've known the man since I was about 12 or so, and I like him, I don't want him to die, but I don't want to go to his funeral. I don't want to go to Thanksgiving, either, which is also horrible, but I just don't.
Then, Friday, I guess we're going down to San Diego to hang with the rest of the family. I don't know what that will entail since we're still going to see them on Thursday, but I guess that's the plan. I just have this horrible feeling that Thursday and Friday are going to suck. I hope the weekend turns out happily. (<lj user="garryowen", don't get sick!!! For your sake, of course. ;) Not much else right now, although it felt like I had more. I bought knee high boots yesterday, which I will wear to school tomorrow. I've been needing them, but I also think they're sexy, so I finally caved. Not that I have much call to be sexy, especially not at school, but what I can say? I've been thinking about buying them for two years now. No Smallville/Angel/Gilmore Girls this week. I'm going to have to find someway to keep myself entertained.
