Pary in the OC

happyminion's party and had a great time. Good food, good people, mildly okay movies, pretty boys. Jesus, that Ian Somerhalder is *pretty*. Not even Clark pretty, but, like, angelically beautiful pretty.
I want him for Chirstmas. Someone work on that, okay?
Anyway, it was fun. I got to see Queer as Folk for the first time, and it was the British version which I've always heard is better anyway. I liked it, except for the depressingness of the second part, which I really didn't need. But Stuart was very Lex-like, what with the slink and the sweaters and the overall sense of being a predator. Very nice and very fun to watch. And, in the second episode, he kept drinking orange juice (or something orange) which made me just as happy as seeing Lex drink orange juice.
Speaking of which, what was with the peaches in Slumber? It just seemed like a very odd choice of fruit for some reason, and the only thing I could think was that peaches look like Lex's head, and Lionel wants Lex to see a pyschiatrist to get inside Lex's head, so eating something that resembled it allowed Lionel to get inside Lex's head symbollically. But I'm probably reading into things. Sometimes a peach is just a peach, yo.
Anyway, after QAF, we watched Ian Somerhalder's parts in Rules of Attraction, a movie which I'm glad I didn't see anymore, and then Not Another Teen Movie, which was fun. The evil guy from Hourglass was in it, only instead of looking like a male Tara Lipinski (because of the huge mouth) he looked like a young Carey Elwes with a big mouth. It was frightening.
Afterwards, we all started talking. I talked poorkryptonsite's ear off about my fics, which I didn't mean to do. We were talking about Angel, and then Smallville, and, unfortunately, I have a hard time separating the shows from fic sometimes, so it all bled out. But I had fun talking, so I can only hope he did too and isn't just being polite.
Anyway, the next morning, I finally got to talk torosenho, which I'd been dying to do all night because I think she is such a brilliant and wonderful person. We talked about Smallville and fandom and her writing a little. It was really fun.
So, good party, tired now, get to teach 2nd grade tomorrow. And still trying to finish this stupid fic.
I'm very content.

I don't know. I think we could have squeezed in more. I don't know how, but this way, we have a goal, right? Something to shoot for next time. ;)
Thanks again for the party! I had a wonderful time. I'll try to make it down for an SV viewing one of these days. So far, this assignment seems like it'll be easier than the last, so it might be possible.
