It's my last day of work. I won't be coming back unless I don't get a teaching or subbing job next spring. So, what does this mean? It means no more spending all day online. No more getting to see all the squeeing and kerfuffles unfold. No more entertaining myself on Fandom Wank or TWOP when I'm typing in endless numbers. No more being unable to open pictures at work (because I will not go online when I'm working in a classroom unless I'm at home). No more listening to my coworkers talk about their increasingly horrible lives. No more wondering why no one in the office can get out of the chair and walk across the room. No more getting frustrated by the incessant swearing and doom-saying. No more being on campus all the time. No more having extra time to work on fic.
No more feeling like I'm marking time until I get to do something related to my choice of careers. In two weeks, I'll be student teaching. I can't wait.
ETA Last night I had a dream I went to a job fair and was interviewing for a teaching job. The guy was offering me a job; all i had to do was call him that afternoon. He started telling me the phone number when my alarm clock when off. I have *never* been so fucking pissed off at my alarm clock in my life. It took me about ten minutes to realize it wouldn't have mattered if I'd gotten the number, since *it was a dream*.
