Jul. 24th, 2009 03:27 pmToday has been really kick back. We started at a panel for the Guild, which was awesome. Felicia Day and the whole cast came in their avatar's costumes. They premiered a music video, too, called something like "Would you Date My Avatar" or "Wanna" or something. It was awesome. THey were awesome. They also showed the first episode of the third season. I really don't want to spoil it, but it was fantastic. There's a big surprise at the end and the first time I've ever been a part of a collective gasp the way I was there.
After that, sis and I hit the con floor. I am looking for three comics right now: one is a trade I found yesterday, about an American Jewish girl who joins the Israeli army, whose title I forgot; the others are DMZ and Ex Mechinca (?). Also, the Invisibles. So far, I've had no luck. I'm ticked about the first, since I had it in my hands yesterday, but decided against it, which was a stupid, stupid decision.
Today's costume Silk Specter, which is getting a fair amount of attention. The oddest was the man who pretty much took a picture of my face and only got some of my costume. The most fun was when I ran into Silk Specter II and a Nite Owl. We both wanted pictures which each other, which turned into everyone in the vicinity with a camera to take a picture of us. So, that was kind of fun.
Now, we're waiting for the Mighty Boosh panel. We sat through a panel for a show that will premier on Fox next January called "Past Lives". It's about Past Life regressionsists who help people who are having flashbacks to previous lives figure out why they're regressing. The pilot is pretty solid, and I recommend it.
After Mighty Boosh, my sis and I may head next door to see a screening of Wrath of Kahn. Or, I might convince her to go back to the con floor to continue my search.
Also, RTD is an asshole, and I'm glad I'll be missing the Doctor Who/Torchwood panel.
