I think you caught a picture of my CA sis in the background of the pict of Tosh and Scott! If you get back to that booth (i think she's working it) and if the blonde is there and her name is Britt... tell her her mausy sis kender in KS said hello! :: giggle ::
Great pictures. GREAT costume!
thank you for sharing them... and for the ::squint... is that???!!!:: moment.
::Hugs:: hope you are having a WONDERFUL time! peace, the kendermouse
What's also really weird is I swear I know her from somewhere. She was so incredibly familiar. I will definitely get back to her and tell her you said hi. :)
I met her at BasCon many many moons ago and she took a shy/nervous mausy under her wing and a Sisterhood was born! She's continually trying to convince me to move out to CA (and hopefully, one day i will).
Thank you for passing on my hello (and her hug back) - i'm gonna have to call and give her heck for being in a booth with TOSHY *and* Scott *AND* John... ::tries to control the green eyed monster as they are ALL people that are on the short list of people i'd LOVE to sit down and talk to JUST because they seem like genuinely INTERESTING and neat people::
Sounds like you had a GREAT time at the con! Did you ever refind the book you were looking for (the one you had but didn't pick up at the time and couldn't find when you went back)?
and on a side note... is ComicCon as crazy crowded as it LOOKS!?!?! ::EEP!::
anyway. i'm back to my paper writing. Thank you for the update on the "sis sighting".

No, I didn't. HOwever, I found all the other ones I was looking for. For the first time since I started going to Comic Con, I actually spent most of my money on comics. :)

GREAT costume!
Thanks so much! I'm still amazed it came off as well as it did. I made the skirt and waist cincher without a pattern, without a sewing machine, and without ever having been taught to sew. The cincher is a bit thrashed in the back, but otherwise, it held up. I was thrilled. :)
Good luck with your paper.
It really is, but it wasn't as overwhelming this year as last. They did a lot better crowd control. The only times it got scary was in the crush of the "big" booths on the floor, right by Paramount/WB/Twilight/etc. Otherwise, it was okay.

Date: 2009-07-29 02:48 am (UTC)The last day, as I was leaving, I walked right past Tosh (and John Barrowman's husband) in the hall. That was awesome too. :)
