Vanity Fair
Sep. 4th, 2004 06:08 pmSaw it. I enjoyed it a lot, although I do wish it could have been a miniseries with the same actors rather than a movie. There were so many things that needed to be explored in more detail, but they couldn't because of the time constraints. I walked out feeling as if I'd seen the world's longest preview of what was goign to be a great movie. I bought the book (even though we technically have it; but it's an old copy with crummy pages and small print. I needed something that looked better, and Reese is such a beautiful woman).
I found myself a lot more distracted by James Purefoy than I thought I would be. The character is nothing like Damien, and he's still not quite right (Damien's is a lighter brown, and his skin is supposed to have a more natural tan), but there's just something about him that makes me think of Damien. I just wish he'd stop doing movies where they give him a widow's peak (or whatever it's called) because it looks stupid.
I wants to write me some Damien/Dominic fic now. :P
