I will never understand why I can't get my bank account to balance. I check it once every two weeks or so, write everything that's on the computer screen down on the sheets, add and subtract the balance on screen with anything that hasn't been cashed (usually, nothing), keep up with it, and yet, always come up over. I don't get why, and it really sucks. I want someone else to deal with it, except I need to know how much money I have or I get antsy.

I'll just always trust what the bank says. I shoudln't, and I try not to, but I do.

Maybe this month, I switch back to reconciling with what they send me. It might help.

I need more Lex icons. I have a ton of Clark, and while I like him, Lex is purdy. And I loves him. A lot. *kisses Lex*.

Is anyone interested in beta'ing the Kal/Morgan fic when I'm done revising?

I'm always curious as to how certain thing on LJ make it to community posts like

metaquotes or

metablog. I think it's a mixture of two things: writing something *really* well and having people pimp you.

Back in May, I wrote a bit on how fan fiction was easier to write than original fic because I'm playing in someone else's sandbox, meaning a lot of my work is done. Today, someone posted a well-written essay about how fan fiction is easier to write than original fiction because fanfiction is playing a video game while original fiction is programming one, and it got posted to

metablog. It's longer than mine, and probably better written, but I still wonder.

Ah, well. At least we have

fandom_bb where I can say things like, "The problem with the Kent's is the same thing as Lana: Jonathan (especially) is consistently mean, hypnotically, and prejudice to those around him, especially the Luthors, and yet everyone especially Lex seems to worship the ground he walks on." (Again, I think people would get less angry at them if someone would acknowledge his/their faults rather than the ideal of who they're supposed to be), and my name pops up. On the bulletin board, I mean. Because I am an attention-whore. :)

Oh. And everyone better read my Kal/Morgan fic, otherwise, when I write the concluding fic to Lex Luthor, Ace Reporter, y'all are going to be confused. And I won't help you *sticks out tongue*.

No, seriously, read it. It's good, even if you don't like Kal and Morgan. You don't have to read the sex scenes. They're just gratuitous, but the whole relationship is explained. So those of you who were all, "Why's that rat bastard letting Morgan pin him to the wall while Lex is throwing up in the next room?", the fic explains why.

I need to stop eating Kettle Corn and typing at the same time. Ick.
