Okay, I've decided that Season 2 started off strong, and the just fell apart. Most of the reason it feel apart was because of the Helen/Lex storyline and the Clana dance that kept missteping. The badness all started after Dichotic. Everything before that episode was fine. Not necessarily all brilliant (Nocturn wasn't the strongest episode, but it was enjoyable), but fine.

And then, after Dichotic, it all fell apart. We got a few more good episodes (Rosetta, Accelerate), but most of the arcs were so muddled, constantly changing, and just frustrating.

I *hate* rewatching all of these. I'm currently on Precipice, where the only good secne is ... I don't know. When Helen gets hurt?

Get me to S3 now.

Oh, yeah. And I've deiced that Sheriff Adams is a dyke, and that's why she spends so much time drinking coffee and complimenting Lana.

Silly

I found this comic amusing.

Clark Kent's Secret Revealed

Oh. And I hate S2 Lana. And her story arc.

The Caves

I'm beginning to think that what Jor-El wanted for Clark was not what was originally intended by the kryptoninans who put the caves in Smallville. Whoever did the caves put in safe guards to stop Naman from ruling the world, right?

First there is the prophecy: Zigith and Naman will be the balance between light and dark (good and evil?). Balannce is important, and it seems that Zigith's role is more important because, without him, Naman could take over the world and abuse his power. It doesn't say anything about Zigith, so, presumably, he exists only when Naman is there and active.

Second, there's the fact that Walden got all those powers, presumably to control Clark. Now, if [livejournal.com profile] rosenho is right, and those were Lex's power, the powers and intention wasn't to kill Clark/Naman, but to keep him in check and stop him from taking over the world.

Then there's the knife. Now, I'm a little confused as to the knifes purpose. It was supposed to identify Zigith, but wasn't also supposed to give him the power to kill Naman? (I need to rewatch the episode to remember). It would be logical to assume that the knife was given into Zigith's care to use in the event Naman tried to conqure the world. But it disinigrated when the Luthor's touched it, so I'm not quite sure how useful it was.

Jor-El, however, seems to want to disregard this prophecy. He thinks his son is the force of good and power, and therefore should use his power to straighten up the foolish mortals (his reasons are wonderfully illustrated in a fic by [livejournal.com profile] happyminion, btw). However, that was not Naman's original purpose, so ...

I'm just wondering where it's all going.

Okay, normally I get really snitty when someone decides to pull all their fic and whatnot off the internet in a fit of pique (especially when it's someone who *must* be told if you're going to even recommend their fic to someone else, and works very hard trying to trick the reader, and pulls all her fic off because people were, *gasp* talking about it and *doublegasp*, giving away spoilers), and figure that if people pass their fic around behind their back, HA HA.

BUT ...

Must *every* *single* *new* person on the mailing list request for the said fic to be sent to them ON THE FRICKING LIST?????

I'm really tempted to track the author down and tell her what's going on, just to see if she'll go ballistic.

No, I'm not a trouble maker. Not at all. But, no offense or anything, but the IQ level on list seems to be droppign dramatically as of late.

Oh. And send me feedback for COTW 46. NOW!

(*kisses* Love you all. ;)
