I'm not talking about Doctor Who right now because I can only think of 2 things to say and they're not positive. Even though I loved the ep to bits. Weird, huh?

Pick 20 movies/anime/video games/comic books/literary works/musicals/TV shows/etc. and put their summaries from Better Than It Sounds and WITHOUT CHEATING have your friends guess. (Warning, TVTropes link)

If it helps, the first two are comics and the third is a movie.

1. A photographer goes to New York City, turns out it's not such a great place.

2. The only guy in town and his monkey are dragged all the way around the world by a cloning expert and a secret agent so secret she doesn't have a name. Y, the Last Man guessed by [livejournal.com profile] astro599

3. A stomach cramp gets out of hand. Alien guessed by [livejournal.com profile] fabrisse

4. A moody teen and a dead kid try to stop a Rich Bitch and her lackey from getting their hands on some family mementos. Casper guessed by [livejournal.com profile] eisakay

5. An utterly selfish boy-king ruminates for a few days and learns to care about others as a result. Features a severely ageing Catwoman and half the cast of Just Shoot Me. Emperor's New Groove guessed by [livejournal.com profile] pepperjackcandy

6.Four guys drive around in a van and trap restless spirits with laser-powered vacuum cleaners. They save New York City from a giant candy mascot by taking serious risks with their equipment. Ghostbusters guessed by [livejournal.com profile] 1001cranes

7. Reject from the Disney Animated Canon, featuring wacko suburbanite and his son on a crazy Road Trip, culminating in the two of them ending up on stage at a concert by a performer who appears to be a cross between Prince and 1980s-era Michael Jackson. A Goofy Movie guessed by [livejournal.com profile] 1001cranes

8.Family comedy about a young child who is abandoned by his family and robbed in his own home. On Christmas Eve. Home Alone guessed by [livejournal.com profile] 1001cranes

9. Two power-plant workers temporarily adopt a poisonous child and foil an interdimensional abduction scheme. Monster's Inc guessed by [livejournal.com profile] gilded_garb

10. A farm hand becomes a pirate and his girlfriend becomes a princess and then he kidnaps her and dies. Then, with the help of a hungover fencer and a stupid giant, he kidnaps her again after coming back to life. Whilst all this is going on, a grandfather tells his grandson a story. The Princess Bride guessed by [livejournal.com profile] 1001cranes

11. A man is let out of prison and is hired as chauffeur and bodyguard to a weird man who's conducting a secret war against another bunch of other weird people. The story is occasionally interrupted for history lessons or stories that are almost completely unrelated. American Gods, guessed by quite a few people.

12. A reclusive, middle-aged, single industrialist invites young children to tour his business, which is operated by undocumented immigrants who live in the facility. As the tour progresses, he allows most of the children to be injured, deformed, or (possibly) killed while his employees sing songs mocking their poor moral character. He then bequeaths the entire works to the last child standing. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory guessed by [livejournal.com profile] 1001cranes

13.Girl finds an alternate universe in a closet. Jesus is shaved. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe guessed by [livejournal.com profile] nataliadarimini

14. Two gorgeous brothers with major-league Daddy issues seek out monsters and kill them in various nasty ways, using things as diverse as salt-filled shotgun shells, barbed wire, and circular saws. Lots of sex is had along the way. A really great car and lots of eighties rock, apocalypses, and angst are also involved. The world really really sucks, but it's funny anyway. Supernatural guessed by [livejournal.com profile] 1001cranes

15. A semi-amnesiac scientist travels through time with his horny, invisible friend, who carries a computer disguised as a tetris cube (sometimes a calculator). Quantum Leap guessed by [livejournal.com profile] rosy5000, [livejournal.com profile] eisakay, [livejournal.com profile] gilded_garb and [livejournal.com profile] fabrisse

16. A man deliberately gets himself thrown in prison — after having his escape plan tattooed over his entire body. Prison Break guessed by [livejournal.com profile] 1001cranes (I know... this is totally a gimmie)

17. An obnoxious Brit and a quirky team accuse people of lying and are usually right. Lie to Me guessed by [livejournal.com profile] 1001cranes

18. An obnoxious lawyer, an emo farmer, a horny doctor and a bunch of middle-aged white men bitch about the heat and call each other names while trying to start a revolution. There are more sex jokes than you might expect. A lot more. 1776 [livejournal.com profile] gilded_garb

19. God hires Roy Cohn to represent him in a parental abandonment suit. Angel's in America guessed by [livejournal.com profile] fabrisse

20. Fairies play pranks on young people and each other, and suicide is played for laughs. Hard-working blue-collar types bust their asses to put on a show; their upper class audience responds by mocking it MST3K-style. Features hot fairy-on-donkey action! A Midsummer Night's Dream guess by [livejournal.com profile] nataliadarimini and [livejournal.com profile] gilded_garb

Quantum Leap, loved that show.

Oh. :(

And I'm not a big fan of graphic novels. I read them too fast, and the series are endless and then I don't know where to start...It's like Dragonlance. There's no beginning or ending in sight. :)

From: [identity profile] serafina20.livejournal.com
Y the last man had a definite beginning and ending. I think it was 9 books. Of course, the most frustrating thing for me was that the library was missing 3, 7, and 9, so I ended up going to Borders. I would have preferred not to have to rush through (even though I, too, rush through graphic novels)
