serafina20I just watched two episodes of BBC's Demons and
A. Philip Glenister sounds weird with an American accent. Not bad weird, just different. I love his Gene Hunt voice so much (Norther accents in general, I guess), I'm sad not to hear it (although, I do have LoM season 1 now, so that's good). That said, when I first saw him, waaaaay back in Horatio Hornblower, I thought he was an ugly little toad. Obviously I was having a bad acid trip because the man is fracking sexy.
2. Luke Van Helsing was Ross Jenkins in Doctor Who, the UNIT guy in Poison Sky and Santoran Stratagem. I wanted slash fic with him and the doctor. I wanted him to go with the Doctor and Donna as a play thing. Did he die? Anyway. He's cute in this, but not as cute as he was in DW
III. Ruby was Sophia in Merlin. I thought she looked familiar. Her brother also looks very familiar, but he's not on IMBD yet.
D. It is, on the surface,a lot like "Buffy". Except, their Rupert is American and instead of a Watcher, I guess he's a fighter to. Or something.
5. Mina Harker is blind. And Jonathan was Van Helsing's assistant? Dude was such a whiny loser he was played by Keanu Reeves.
I'm actually running out of things to say. So, whatever. It was interesting and I'll probably watch it again.
I did not go to the movies today.
ETA I remember now: Everyone in England apparently names their boys either Luke (Demons and Van Helsing) or Jamie (Doctor Who/Demons). Because 2 instances make a trend.
