There are a lot of girl! Will prompts on the kinkmeme. To me, it seems like there is more genderswap than one usually finds. I'm wondering if it's because so many people (including me) really identify with Will and his empathy.
I think that Will is probably a highly sensitive person coupled with low latent inhibition (and, wow, may I say there is a lot more information about that than there was back when Prison Break first threw this out?).
My back hurts.

Acting woes
Apr. 13th, 2013 05:30 pmOnly, you know, not really.
I've been asked if I'm interested in auditioning for a part in Zoot Suit. The only problem is it's a really bad part of the year (ie the beginning of school). Also, I was under the impression (via a butthurt white woman) that there "were no white people" in the play. But, apparently Tyne Daly played her in the movie?
IDK. I hate saying no, and a part of me is... interested in seeing if the beginning of the school year might be more bearable if I'm distracted, but....
I need someone to make decisions for me, yo.
Also, my printer is a lost cause, so I have to buy a new one before the Hannibal script disappears. The part of me that wants to be Will Graham is insisting I memorize his lines. You know, in case I ever get to do a scene of it, like I did with the opening scene of Pulp Fiction in college (because, now that I've graduated and live in the real world, opportunities to do random scenes from movies and TV shows just happen). Anyway. That's what I want to do. Because my life is small and weird.

What the heck?
Apr. 9th, 2013 07:30 pmI spent the last few days obsessively skimming and wife-ing* my copy of Red Dragon to mark all the parts they've quoted or used in Hannibal and now I can't find it. I think someone stole it.
Also, I thought I was on LJ when I first met the book, but I wasn't, so I was looking through journals to see where I'd written about it ('cause I thought I had). I haven't found anything yet 'cause I've written so much crap over the years and Brycee was sitting on a bunch of it. But, I did find my old book journal. The last entry was Red Dragon. I only recorded the title.
...
I think I must have been depressed at what happened to Will when I got to the end and didn't want to write anything. I should see if Hannibal (the book) is there.
*the term wife-in or "to wife" something comes from a story a friend of mine told me. A friend of hers had been roleplaying for year when he introduced his wife to it. The wife got really into it and then proceeded to make it better by marking all the parts in the role playing book relevant to her character with post-its. That way, if she needed to look something up, she just had to flip to the appropriate tab. When the husband took the book to another game and was asked what happened, he said it'd been "wifed". I told this story to my sister and mom and that's how it's been known to our family forever.
Also, I'm wearing my PJ pants inside out.

Hannibal 1x01
Apr. 8th, 2013 06:47 pmillustrted script.
If my printer worked, I'd print it out and hope that Bryan Fuller was at ComicCon and have him sign it.

Because it's inappropriate to think about cannibal serial killers while teaching 6 year olds. At least, it's inappropriate to admit it.
( Why yes, I am going through the book and highlighting relevant passages, why do you ask? )

Apr. 6th, 2013 01:25 pmThe storage facility near my house was having an "estate sale", which is a garage sale held at a storage facility. seriously, there's this red velvet couch (goregous, but a little damaged) there for thirty bucks. I hear "estate sale" and i think expensive.
( Now I'll be able to shut up about it )

Oh, fandom
Apr. 6th, 2013 10:02 amIt's been two days since Hannibal premiered, and you've managed to produce one fic that's only 400 words. I feel like you're not even trying. When Smallville came out, we had entire series of fics written before the episode was even done airing all the way.
*sigh*
And where are the icons?
EtA Oh, no. No high school AUs, please. *frowny face*

Apr. 4th, 2013 05:00 pmMy tv and internet have been down since yesterday, when I got home from Wondercon, etc. It has not been easy going for me, since I *need* the internet like breathing and have been unable to do anything. It's very annoying.
but, it's back. And Hannibal premiers tonight, something I very much look forward to. I'm thinking of writing up a meta-post about it in the hopes of, I don't know. Knowing stuff about it so if they're at Comic-Con this summer, I can maybe ask some of the questions i have.
( Possible spoilers )

Quick WonderCon post
Mar. 30th, 2013 11:34 pmWonderCon is awesome this year. I got to see Hannibal tonight, and it was *everything* I wanted, namely a show about William Graham with a side dash of Hannibal Lecter. It even made me like Lecter as a character more than the books (and movie) because he's such a cat toying with his bitty mouse. I like those stories.
Hugh Dancy is wonderful. I just want to squish him. Also, he's a tiny man.
Okay. To bed.
