Like I said, other than mistakes...

I'm so happy you updated! I'll be honest that I've been shamelessly checking your journal page everyday for updates on this story -- it's so good and written so wonderfully that I can't get enough of it and I'm always in the mood to find that you've made another entry on it. Not to mention, you have a very distinct, flowing (emotional) writing that I love to read in writers because it's just so easy to get caught up and carried away within it.

But anyway, enough of being general, time to blabber about the actual chapter.

I was glad to see that Logan knew how to handle Scott in the beginning, how just by sensing his mood and noticing his actions, that he was able to know of a setting that would have a more positive(?) effect on how Scott was feeling. Also, that Logan was caring (in that Logan sorta way)...it's cute to see him worry and be concerned about Scott. His patience is surprising, but definitely endearing.

I enjoyed how you portrayed Scott this chapter (like always, though). How much of an emotional wreck he is -- how he can't quite cope still and is basically beating himself over it when he has no real reason to. Small stuff with the surroundings made me smile, too; Scott walking on the sand unevenly (like anyone can anyway!) and the comment of seeing him off balance. Then things like his speed and gracefulness [when fighting hand-to-hand] -- it was...I dunno, just had a real Scott feeling to it. That he holds a certain fluid composure in the things he does.

The bringing up of the professor was another that was touched upon and I liked -- how it lead to Scott's past and other [confused] feelings. How he knows that Logan is different from the men in his past (I definitely enjoyed when Logan's claws came out at that telling -- how he was being so protective over him...aw!) and that's not quite what's wrong...that he knows what he wants from Logan (and blatantly comes on and shows it), but just can't completely go through with it at the moment.

I enjoyed their little fight (a bit too much, I think) and definitely flinched when I read Logan's hit got through, because, yeah...ouch. Scott got a bit of whallop and his personality went from 0 to 80 in under three. He keeps breaking down and it's so sad to read (then Scott apologizes...ah!). What a melancholic mood, then of course, the rain comes...

I even felt for Logan, especially during his declaration to Scott, then when he has inner turmoil about leaving Scott because it may be for the best. My heart crumbled when Scott went into desperate banter about it. I really do hope Logan stays with Scott and helps him get through his problems, by his side.

Also, thumbs up on the ultimately cute scene with Scott and the sneeze. What timing! I love it. Then Logan's amended statement at the end, ha! This very much is his battle as well as Scott's (though, their battles may not be entirely on the same grounds...).

Sorry for such the long ramble, but yeah, I immensely enjoy this story. :)
