serafina20So, I got my blood drawn again today. This time, I got a bruise. That hasn't happened before. Now, a different person drew it this time, and it hurt more, so maybe that's it, but, right now, I'm not taking it as a good sign.

"Clark?"
"Yeah?"
Lex stepped into the room hesitantly. "Um... we need to talk."
Clark looked up from the computer. "What's wrong?"
"You remember how, when we first got together, and we first realized your sperm was making changes in my body?"
"Thank God. You haven't gotten sick for six years now except for that cold, what? Two years ago after Zod took over your body."
He smiled. It was crooked. "Right. And after being sick all my life, I really appreciate it. Only... do you remember us once joking about what other changes there might be? And I said that it'd be funny if, what you were actually doing, was preparing my body to carry your child?"
Clark's brow furrowed, confusion on his face. "Yes."
Lex took a deep breath. He extended his arm. A white stick was clasped in his hand.
"Lex?" Clark went to him and took the stick.
There was a pink cross in the middle.
His head snapped back up, meeting Lex's eyes.
Lex smiled that same, funny, crooked smile. "Congratulations, angel. You're going to be a father."
Fin.
