I know that there were good things about mailing lists, but what I love about livejournal is that you get to choose who you do and don't want to have on your reading list. One mailing lists, unless you delete every post (or just posts by certain people, which I did unless they unfortunately joined in on a conversation I was involved in), you basically had to read every whiney, stupid message in order to be involved with the list. Ever sinc I switched to livejournal, fandom seems to have gotten smarter.

I need a bitchy Lex icon.
