Someone has created a new Jack/Boone mailing list. I thought about joining it, but you can't post and porn or smut. Just love-making.

So, yeah. I'm not sure what that means, but since I'm pro porn and smut, I think I'll pass.

Somone really needs to either create a Jack/Boone community or an all inclusive mailing list.

Ok, I'm not watching Lost as the whole premise annoys the hell out of me and I can take or leave Ian S. Still, more power with the pretties.

But I need this explained to me. What is that 'loving' comm thinking of?

To my mind, if you're making love right? It IS porn! Doy! What, you have to make love all sweet and missionary and never use the word fuck? What, what?

I just can't wrap my head around that, even with loving schmoop, I also worship the smuttiest, hottest porn I can get my hands on or write for the slash couples I wanna see.

Ok, I feel I should defend myself a little. I created the jack and boone group at yahoo and was pressured into excluding the porn and smut by a friend of mine who is a mod there also. She can't stand the stuff. I, for one, have no such issues; which is prolly why I joined your community.

I see no reason why you had to defend youself. No one is attacking you or your community. We may be a little confused as to what consituts porn and smut vs. love making because the way I see it, if you'er going to show explicit sex? It's porn/smut/erotica.

Not only that, but I didn't say that moonstorm created a mailing list that didn't allow porn or smut. I didn't mention you at all. Even if you had created it and put the rules up yourself, who cares? Just because someone enjoys fandom one way (eg no porn or smut) and I enjoy it anotehr, doesn't mean it's right or wrong. And I wasn't saying that there was anything *wrong* with the community, only that it wasn't for me. Yes, there is the implication that the rules are a little naieve, maybe even a little offensive (the implication to me is that only good people make love while others fuck), but who cares? If I don't like the rules, I don't have to join.

Furthermore, I didn't say anything *against* the list, so I don't understand where this need to defend comes from. What I said was that I didn't understand what no porn or smut, only love-making means, but since I'm pro porn and smut, I'll pass.

So, I guess you can defend your list, but since no one is attacking it, you're looking a little silly. And don't apologize; you haven't done anything wrong.
