Okay, a quick primer:

"ship" is short for "relationship." People who root for a particular relationship on a show or book "ship" that relationship.

A "het" shipper roots for boy/girl couples. So, Serafina/Michael Rosenbaum would be a het (heterosexual) ship.

"Slash" is same sex. Serafina/Chloe, Clark/Lex are slash pairings. Slash pairings usually aren't called ships I think because there is a very low chance for them to show up on the show. I think.

OT3 is One True Threesome. My OT3 for Pirates is Jack/Elizabeth/Will. For Smallville, it'd probably be Clark/Chloe/Lex. OTP is one true pairing and is used far more often. My OTP for Smallville is, of course, Clark/Lex, so even though I'll write something like Clark/Morgan Edge, I don't think they belong together.

Mary Sue is a badly written original female character. Quite often, she is a way for the author to insert herself into the story and sleep with whomever she finds most attractive on the show. "Serafina" was my Buffy the Vampire Slayer Mary Sue. She was paired with Spike and then Wesely. You can find a more in-depth explination . You can find my Harry Potter Mary Sue here

Jump the shark means is the point when a show gets to bad, it's unreemable. It comes from an episode in Happy Days where Fonzzi jumped a bunch of sharks on a motor cycle or something. I don't think Smallville has jumped the shark yet, although other people do. You can find a website where people track shows that have jumped the shark . Take it with a grain of salt; nowdays, some people's jump the shark is another's, "Taht was such a cool episode!"

Best Fanfic Award is something we don't do much in SV fandom. But, basically, there are contests where people vote on the best fanfics around and then the winner gets a button or somthing on their website. And the rest of the fandom has a kerfuffle because they feel it has nothing to do with how good a story is, ti's just a popularity contest. We've had one awards comp I think, and I didn't really pay attention to it.

Hmmm, I don't know who you are close to on LJ, so I'm borrowing from my other favourite fandom to answer these.

a. Lex (does that make you happier?)

c. Lex, Clark and yourself.
d. Um, she'd have long raven locks, and she'd be good at everything, with a predisposition to wearing pink. Everyone would love her, no matter how annoying she got... oops, that's already been done!
e. When you and Clark save the world from the evil slime demons, and you both set up house with Lex to live happily ever after, and make jokes at the expense of the help.
f. Serafina and Chloe discuss the logistics of opening a bakery, employing the sexy local farmboy to do the deliveries. Of course, delivering baked goods isn't this farmboy's only talent *cue porn music*.

On a completely seperate topic, have I told you yet how much I loved the last chapter of CoTW. I was really excited with what you did with Whitney, I was broken hearted when you followed canon with the Tina episode, but I was delighted when you changed it so Whitney came home. I love your version of the characters in this AU, and I've enjoyed seeing them change and develop as the story has progressed. They've always stayed true to their characterisations, despite this maturation.
