Meme and Stuff

Although I will be looking this up, does anyone know if a scattered memory is common during menopause? My mother has always had a bad memory, but lately she seems to be getting worse. Now, this could be because she's just not listening to anyone anymore (which is possible), but, last week at least, it was ridiculous. And scary.
Item 2:
I'm going to be getting into my classroom next week (tomorrow, actually). Since I feel more comfortable keeping my school-stuff locked just in case, I created another journal,
pallas_athena6 to post all about school. If you're interested in reading it, feel free to friend and I'll friend you back.
Item 3:
Still working away on COTW 47 and trying to come up with the next part of LLAR 2. On the second, i'm scattered as to what should happen next, although I know what the main plot-type-thing would be. Woudln't it be nice, though, if I just wrote it as a sweet fic where Clark and LEx get married rather than have to deal with *plot*. *sigh*

Date: 2004-08-22 11:26 am (UTC)"...if I just wrote it as a sweet fic where Clark and Lex get married rather than have to deal with *plot*."
See, now I think you *could* do a story dealing with this theme (time permitting of course!), and not have it fall under the whole "oh, but it's soooooo OOC" nitpicking. Basically, the premise is a what-if, and those don’t necessarily have to be rich in plot to be interesting. And I think a story like that can be great if it explores all the different aspects inherent in that scenario of a wealthy bald billionaire marrying a gay male (not to mention alien) from Kansas. There's a lot of interesting ideas in that scenario, that could be interpreted in any number of ways that could be sweet without being cloying.
Anyway, sorry for the long tangent. Your last post about those ranting lists got me fired up.:-)

Oh, I do to. I wasn't saying that I'm being stopped by people's rants or anything. It's just, the way the sequel is set up (having to deal with Lex's depression, his feelings towards Morgan, the whole Lois thing, and now his memory problems) *this* fic can't be the fluffy-sweet and much easier fic I almost wish it could be. But, really, that's a lie. I'm getting too much out of exploring the depths of Lex's depression to really want it to be fluff-light.
Thanks for the support!

o name: Raijahn
o age: 28
o where on earth do you live: Portland, OR
o reason behind your LJ username: It's actually a name I created for myself four years ago. At first it was just my online tag, then it became my 'alternate personality's name' (loooong story) and now...it's just me. I have two first names. *grins* How cool is that?
o five things you want to do/accomplish before you die: Get published, have at least one child (marriage is optional), finally find 'the job' (kind of like 'the one' lol), travel to at least two of the countries I want to visit and see the US accept gay marriage as legal.
o what makes you happy: a good book; writing my stories; anything SV; my friends (online and in rl); chocolate; watching my sisters grow into wonderful, mature women; playing with my muses; listening to Quinn talk about his life, all five hundred years of it; pizza on Fridays; sleeping in on Saturdays; all things random.
o what have you been listening to lately: Disturbed - Believe, Josh Groban - Closer
o do you enjoy reading my LJ: Yes, though I don't comment nearly as much as I should. I'm very bad that way. *is shamed*
o if so, why: Because you're very insightful and so open about being gay/bisexual, and you write so wonderfully.
o interesting fact about you: This may be interesting or just plain creepy, but my muses live in my head. I can hear them, see them and interact with them any time of day or night. Lex, Clark and Quinn. It's fun and occasionally crazy. Specially those days when Quinn tries to bite Lex. (Quinn is a vampire).
o favorite destination: Outside my head? Usually home. It's where my comp is. Inside my head? The house my muses live in.
o favorite quote: I want to play with your evil inside. Disturbed from the song Awaken.
o will you post this in your LJ: Sure!
RECOMMEND
o a movie (that amazes you - a beautiful movie): Girl with a Pearl Earring. I was blown away by this movie's gorgeous simplistic storytelling. Ya'll should totally watch it.
o a book (that inspires you, and one you couldn't put down): Obsidian Butterfly by Laurel K. Hamilton.
o a musical artist, song, or album: Josh Groban
