I love it. I *finally* manage to write the Clex essay I've been assigned for
ship_manifesto community, and I can't think of what fics to recommend. I've gotten to the point where I pretty much only read complete and total AU's or happy future fics and while there's nothing wrong with them, I'd like to recommend a broader range for a possible new fan.
I'll worry about it tomorrow. After in-service!!!
Right now, I'll go to bed.

There can never be enough well-written fic that divorces itself from canon and has some semblance of a happy ending.:-) Or at least in terms of, there's some sort of pay-off where you feel like there's some resolution. You know? I've read some excellently written 'angst' stories, but I often find fics in this genre to be emotionally draining to the point where I question why I'm reading it-- that is, there's little enjoyment. I’ve never been quite so attached to a set of characters before, due in large part to the vast wealth of really good fic out there. So while I find that the show’s reliance on manufactured angst and inconsistent writing makes for ‘painful’ TV time, I’m not quite ready to divorce myself from the characters just yet.
Seriously, I love your writing and how you explore different scenarios while maintaining authenticity of the characters. So for me, serafina + AUs + happy future fic = squeeing me. Heh.
And while I've gone off on several tangents, let me just say thank you for fitting happier SV fic writing into your schedule.
Oh, btw, whatever happened to that Robin Hood plot bunny your were considering?
