Went to see Premium Rush yesterday, which was really good. The plot jumped around in a good way. Something would happen, then they'd rewind the clock and show you exactly why that something happened before returning to the scene. It never felt overlong or belabored, like the spend too much time on anything. It was fast paced, there was lots of cool bike riding, it was funny, and JGL was really good.

Then, I saw The Eagle. I know I'm the last on earth, but whatever. I enjoyed it a lot, although I was thrown at the fact the Romans spoke with American accents (you know, instead of English, like real Romans). Esca and Marcus were slashy delicious, and I'd love if fic fell into my lap (instead of me having to search it out). I've decided that should Coulson not come back to the Avenger verse, Denis O'Hare should become the Avengers SHIELD liaison, and Tony freak out because on the one hand, he's not Coulson, but on the other hand, OMG they're the same person!

I totally did not realize that Mark Strong was in the movie. I thought Guern was passingly familiar, but I really didn't care, so when his name popped up in the credits, I literally exclaimed, "When the hell was he in the movie?" Also, anyone who does not talk out loud to themselves or inanimate objects on occasion is crazy.

Today, I plan to work on lesson plans, do laundry, vacuum, etc. I also, at some point, need to shop, which includes going back to the clothing stores for pants, because it's hard to function without black pants. I found a pair yesterday at JC Penny, but the regular size was a little too baggy and the petite size gave me a weird crotch. I hate clothes shopping.

I thought it was clever that the Romans=American accents and Britons=British accents, though it seems stupidly jarring at first. And I also had NO idea that Guern was Mark Strong. I always forget when I watch it, too.

Well, Channing Tatum started slipping into a sort of psuedo/sort of soft voweled half-assed accent about halfway through the movie (kind of like Kevin Costner in Robin Hood) and then would switch back, so that was weird. But, yeah, some of the other just sounded aggressively American instead of just, you know. Normal.
