There's a job fair in Montery for Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties on April 5th. I'm all conflicted. I should go. I know I should. So why am I so nervous about it?

Hey. Is it a one-day thing? Or a weekend? You know I've been thinking of going up to SF, so give me more details. I think you should go. :)

It's a one day thing, but it's a Monday. I'm thinking of going up Sunday sometime and then staying the night over. Or something like that.

Go, but go with low expectations. Then you can be pleasantly surprised when you get offered your dream job on the spot. :)

Got the fic, but I'm having a busy week. I should have time to read it this weekend, though.

I keep having fantastic interviews and being told I'm going to be reccomended for employment. The problem is, no one knows if there's any money to hire for next year, so it's all very scary. The last place I interivewed--and where I think I might want to end up--said they're problby only going to hire 10 people. Out of 40 people they interivewed, and they chose that 40 from, like, 400. I'm recommended, and I have a big star by my name (!), but the question remains as to the job.

*sigh* I'm going, though.

Great! Thanks!

speaking as one who has lived in san jose his entire life (except for 2 lucky years when i lived in mexico city and LA), going to the monterey/santa cruz area is always a treat. it's so... different. less suburban (and fewer tract houses).

job-searching is always hard on the nerves, yes?
here's hoping you have good luck right away!
cheers.

I decided a few years ago I thought i wanted to move. I just kind of pushed it away since the job market is so ... unreliable right now. But I'm definietly going to go, at least to poke around the area for a day. :)

here's hoping you have good luck right away!
cheers.

Thank you!!
