Checking in if anyone was worried

I'm here, I'm alive, and didn't know there was an earthquake until a few hours ago. Way far away from the epicenter.

Has anyone heard from misstressace since the earthquake? I'm not sure where she is compared to the epicenter, but I was wondering.

For the second time in 3 days I've gotten lost going to and coming from places I've already been. The first was coming back from seeing RoTK and the second was going to turn in my paperwork to the school district i interviewed in last week. I generally have a good sense of direction, to. I might get turned around, but I can feel it's wrong and then, when i'm heading in the right direction, know it. I couldn't tell today or Saturday, not even when I was going the right way. I was literally on the street I needed to be, looking at the freeway I was going to in a place I've been at least five times, and still had no idea if it was right. I really think this cold is fucking with my sense of direction.

I'm really into Merry/Pippin slash right now. If anyone has any recc's, I'd love to have them. I'd actually like to read a few movie verse ones, although I like fics that deal more with what I assume is book canon. But I'd like some during-quest fics, which are hard to find.

Still working on COTW 42. It's 111 pages, and I know what the new ending is going to be. Question for the fic, though: does gay porn ever have any plot? What might be a plot if there is?

I was told today at the district office that I'm a candidate for the district and when any openings come up, they'll refer me out. Go me! Let's pray for retirements/pregnancies/whateverelsewillgivesmeajob.

mistressace is about 3 hours North of me and I'm about an hour and a half to two hours north of PasoRobles (near San Simeon--the epicenter). While I got a good shake and had time to be scared, nothing untoward happened. I doubt MsAce felt it.

I only heard about the quake, rather than feeling it. So no worries, hun.

Where I live is quite a distance from the actual fault-line. Sacramento's in the apex of the Central Valley and we tend to get a little sway now and then but not much.
