So yesterday I ended up going through with my free personal training session. And, except for people looking at us (which I hate), his breath stinking, and my own inablity to relax around strangers, it was fun. I got to box and jump rope and ... well, I got to hit things. Of course, almost everything he showed me I can only do with a personal trainer, which is too bad because, even when I can afford it (and what he says he's hoping is once I'm working again, I'll go back and sign up for PT), I probably would not pay to go the they gym and work out with him or another personal trainer. I'd rather do something that doesnt' require a gym, like taking karate (or some form of martial arts) and tennis and swimming. It'll take more dicipline and probalby more money, but the workout will be better than what I'm doing now. And that's the problem with what he's showing me: it's a great workout, and I liked it better than the cardio machines and stuff, but I can't do the exercises on my own.

But anyway, I'm so sore, my pinky hurts. Of course, that may be from typing.

Last night I finally decided that I am going to print out all my LJ entries and save them. I know they are saved on the computer, but I want something in hard copy that's like a journal. I've been really bad and doing my journaling by hand the past year or so, so LJ is the best record I have. I found a cute file folder with the 12 months that's decorated with the sun and moon and stuff, so I bought that and will start printing out today. Next year, though, I think I'll make my own.

I'm not doing the national novel writing month thing, but I might start posting chapters from my novel as I finish them in a friend's locked journal (probably my other one).

[Poll #199534]

Of course, I still have a lot of research to do, so maybe it's not the best idea. Speaking of which: how do ya'll organize your novel writing? What techniques do you use? What the heck if a character formula? Are their any books, websites, or software that you rely on?

Still plugging away at COTW 41 or whatever # I'm on. Also writing reflections for my teaching. Yay. (that was said flatly and w/o any real enthusiasm).

Off to work!

Serafina, I'm intreesting in printing out all my LJ entries as well, but the problem is, I don't want to print out all the comments. Do you know if there is a way to just print the entry and not the comments?
Thanks!

I've actually been cut and pasting them into Word so I can change the font. If I've cut text something, then I just copy/past the test part, and then go back for the moodtheme icon and date (since I like those). It's a little time consuming, but I'm doing a month at a time, so it's not that bad.
