For some reason they're showing "The Italian Job" at the little four dollar theater by my house (probably because the lost POTC this weeks), so I took my little sister to see it. It was just as good as the first time. I love heist movies. I haven't seen many of them, and none of the originals, but I could seriously watch IJ and Ocean's 11 over and over because I like the characters and love seeing complicated plans come together. And, despite the fact it's almost nonexistent, I still see Handsome Rob/Lyle slash. It's faint, but it's there. Now, if someone other than me would just write it. Like my S.W.A.T. bunny, my IJ bunny appears to be dead. Except I can see it all in my head, so they must be in a coma.
I think I'll call them Bob.
Anyway, Seth Green has regained his position as #1 on my Fantasy Boyfriend list. I love him. Love, love, love, love, love him. I'm going to marry him when I grow up and get the guts to drive to L.A. and randomly bump into him so he sees what a beautiful, intelligent, and wonderful woman I am and asks me out on a date. It'll be magic, I tell ya. Pure, Disney hearts and flowers magic (without the hearts and flowers because romance is sort of tedious).
(Revised) Fantasy Boyfriend List
1. Seth Green
2. Val Kilmer
3. Jeremy Irons (just as long as I never have to meet him, because I heard he's a jerk).
4. Lex Luthor/Michael Rosenbaum
5. James Marsden
Fantasy Girlfriend List
1. Rita Wilson
2. that girl who was in my classroom management workshop (oh, God, she was beautiful, intelligent, and passionate. Where has she been the past six years, because, come on. Really. Anyone who can a. use 'teaching jargon' and not make me want to hit them and b. can go off on a political tangent about poverty and the schools and sound like she knows what she's talking about deserves to be worshiped and adored. And I'm her head priestess, baby).
3. Allison Mack
4. Kiera Knightly (she's 18 and I'm not going to listen to you if you say differently)
5. Mara Jade (don't ask; it's my sisters fault).
In reading news, I have to remember to return "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman back to the library. Awesome book; I need to own it. I'm currently reading "Castle Rogue" by Carole Nelson Douglas, which is about Irene Adler from a Sherlock Holmes story. I'm enjoying it, but it's hard to get through. Then I get to read "Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman, probably followed by "Dracula" for the reading group I've been to once and never again. Of course, I also have to study for the C-SET and, oh yeah, start student teaching!!!!!!
Four and a half more days until school officially starts, and hopefully 1 1/2 until I get to meet my master teacher. Yeah!

Date: 2003-08-31 10:50 pm (UTC)Neverwhere has got to be my favorite Gaiman book of all time (not including the Sandman graphic novels), followed by American Gods. Carole Nelson Douglas has another Irene Adler book called Good Night, Mister Holmes. :)
Happy reading!

Actually, that's the first book in the series. And it's the only book she hasn't gone back and renamed. I'm still trying to figure out why they've all been renamed; she doesn't say in the interview in the back.
Happy reading!
Thanks!
