Drugs

Can you be a regular user of hard drugs (heroine, cocaine, and whatever it was that Lex created) and not be an addict?  And, by regular, I mean every night for extended periods of time.  If you stop and aren't an addict, would you still go through withdrawls?  Does anyone have links for more info?

Also, in COTW readers opinion, from what infomation given, was Lex an addict?
