Part 50 is being beta'd by my lovely and generous betas. I'm craving Rice Krispie Treats, but have none of the ingredients. And I've consumed a massive amounts of sugar today, and need to not have any.

But that's nothing to do with the price of eggs. Vote the poll.

I like this shirt, but the summary below is incorrect. Specifically, this:

House's distrust gets a full airing in the first episode. Asked why he won't bother ton interview Rebecca, he asserts, "Everybody lies." Oh yes, explains one of his team member, "Dr. House doesn't like dealing with patients." He's not in this business to save patients, much less chat with them. "Treating illnesses is why we became doctors," he instructs his naïve charges. "If we don't talk to them, they can't lie to us, and we can't lie to them." Asked where one might find the "humanity" in such a view, he has an answer for that too: "Humanity is overrated." This just before his patient-from-a-distance, Rebecca, has an allergic reaction to something during an MRI and his team performs an emergency tracheotomy on her -- all bloody spurts, pounding score, and ER-style crisis -- illustrating that, despite and because of Dr. House, "humanity" has its place.

That is *so* not what happens during that scene. First off, there is absolutely no music playing, at all during that part. Second, the blood doesn't spurt; it wells out of the inision, yes, but it doesn't spirt. Third--and this is important because it's what I like so much about the scene--while there is a sense of urgency that is natural to the moment, you never really get the sense that there is a crisis. Voices are calm and cool, the camera is steady and focused, and it's all... not crisis-like.

So, yeah. That's just wrong. But I like the shirt.
