Finished

I finished Maid Marian this morning. It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be the first time I bought it. Marian was believably strong (i.e. not superwoman) and interesting. Robin reminded me strongly of Peter Pan, and I'm more used to a thoughtful, slow Robin, but I liked him. He wasn't a jerk, and he genuinely loved Marian, so it was all good.

My order of favorites still goes: Outlaws of Sherwood by Robin McKinley, Lady of the Forest by Jennerifer Roberson (or Robertson), then Maid Marian. It's harder to find retellings of Robin Hood than it is King Arthur, which I think is a shame, but I'll get over it.

Now, I need to find another book to read. I was going to read Chocolate War but I seem to have misplaced it. I'll look again today.

Is it considered bad form if I ask if someone could make a cover or icon for me?

Oh, and Monterey called today to see if I was still interested in a job up there. *head desk* The *only* school district/region that I'd regret not moving to/working for, and they *had* to call. Excuse me while I go sing "Santa Fe" from Newsies with the words "Monterey" instead and slit my wrists.

Monterey? Are you there? Do you swear, you won't forget me?

Anyway, I'm desperately trying to write a Morgan/Clark, Clark/Lex fic. I've got the beginnings of 1 historical AU (Clex on a boat), 1 fantasy AU (King Luthors of the island of Metropolis vs. King Edge of Smallville and his comley boy, Clark) and then this one. Which is sort of a prequel to "Lex Luthor, Ace Reporter."

We'll see if I write more.
