Beta Appreciation Day
Oct. 13th, 2003 07:17 pmSo, it appears today is beta appreciation day. The last one of these I remember happened the day after I first joined fandom. Confused as to what a beta was, I toyed with the idea of thanking one before heading up to my lit prof's office and asked, "What's a beta?" and, thereby, avoided making myself looking like a total ass.
Then I started posting fanfiction. But taht's another story. ;)

fabrisse: I honestly don't know what I'd do without you. You've been there with me from the beginning of COTW, and I think that it's as much your series as mine. Damien definetely wouldn't be half the character he is if it weren't for you touch. The series would have tanked big time. You have a way of voicing the bad feeling lurking in my gut when I finish a fic and send it to you. I don't think you've *ever* been wrong about anything, which is why I've learned to trust you implicitly. Thank you, thank you, thank you for working with me, being patient, and helping me put out a fic I can be proud of.
rhiannonhero: You, too, have been a huge inspiration and help. You helped me hammer out a lot of details that would have slipped by, and gave me new eyes to look at the fic through. Thanks for all your help.
lady_alys All my best titles are due to you. ;) You're a great beta and give wonderful support. Thank you for always being ready to look over a fic, no matter how many times I go, "Wait! Here's the *real* version."
mlleelizabeth: I know my fics have gotten a lot less typo-ridden since you've started looking at them. I really appreciate that a lot. ;)
dameange You tore "Pirate" a part word by word, and it came out so much stronger. I really appreciate it more than I can say. Now if i can only get you to do a COTW ... ;)
