Writer's Block and Quiz
Mar. 21st, 2003 03:39 pmI think I have writer's block. At least, I'm not quite sure how to go about writing COTW 36, which is set before, during, and maybe after 'Duplicity.' For some reason, Lex wants to be sick, which I can go with, but he also seems to be stuck. As I am. We're sort of just sitting there, looking at the computer, going, "Uh... Yeah." Although Lex did talk to Ziggy (my Alpha Smart) during lunch, so maybe we're not stuck anymore. Because I sort of have a plan.
Unfortunatly, this means Ih ave to rewatch 'Duplicity.' It don't dislike the episode, but it's not my favorite. I'd rather skip it and go straight to 'Red,' but considering Clark is supposed to be working out being an alien, and Duplicity deals with that, I kind of have to say something.
*sigh*
I updated my friend's list and joined a few communities today. I might do more, but I am pretending to work right now. Pretending being the operative word, and yet the work is getting done. Go fig.
And a quiz: I am a musical I've never seen nor listened to the entire soundtrack. Interesting. Gakked from
soft_princess.
You are RENT, written by Jonathan Larson. You tell
the story of several young starving artists
living in New York City, some of whom have
AIDS, others of whom are just trying to get a
job, fall in love, or figure out who they
really are.
What musical are you?

Date: 2003-03-22 10:16 am (UTC)Thanks for the offer; I might take you up on it. Right now, I think it's more a matter of I'm ovewhelemed with things and haven't gotten a chance to think what I want to do yet. And 'Duplicity' isn't going to fit neatly into the COTW universe because it requires Clark to be able to say, "Pete, I'm an alien," and then be fine with it by the end of the episode. That _can't_ happen in my series, at least not yet. *shrugs* I'll rewatch the episode tonight, think a little bit, and then see what happens. But you might still be getting a ping on IM; we'll see what happens.
Thanks!!

Date: 2003-03-23 08:52 pm (UTC)BTW, you really should see Rent. It is my very favorite musical ever. It is truly amazing and so powerful. You can appreciate the music from the soundtrack, but to truly get the impact of the musical, you have to see it live. Still makes me cry even though I've seen it numerous times.

Date: 2003-03-23 10:29 pm (UTC)I'd like to see Rent, I've just never gotten a chance. I'm a musical junkie, but the few times it's been in town, I just never had a chance to get out there and see it. But I've seen a very poor imitation of it once, so I'm part way there. :)
Thanks for the post!
