Oh, what a day
Mar. 13th, 2003 06:53 pmIs it just my computer, or did no one update their journal today? Because I'm not getting anything and that's werid.
The day began about three a.m. when I woke up with a horrible stomache. I don't know why; I think I just tensed up and got unrelated to anything cramps. And then I had a nightmare. I want to say it was about us going to war and everythign sucking. When I woke up from the nightmare, that's what I thought it was about. My mother and I had a long conversation (long because we kept getting sidetracked on other things), so it would make sense. But, then only thing I can remember is that I was Loralie Gilmore and I was facing off with my mother. Nothing about war. Weird.
I refused to get up early today. I was so exhasuted, that I fell right back asleep after I hit the alarm clock. When I woke at eight, I felt really good. I even managed not to go online until 11.
Which is when all hell really started breaking loose. because, after having to turn my computer on and off several times and finally got back on... the system had restored itself to factory settings. Why? Because it's a piece of crap, that's why. I have no idea. So, one hour before my big math test, I was on the phone with the computer people, trying to get it to work. I set it back to the way it was on tuesday, and everything seemed to be fine.
I grabbed my stuff and ran to school. Only to realize I'd left my lesson plans at home. Luckily, the teacher I'm working under is really understanding, so I was able to run home and get the plans, then go back. Of course, even though I was back ten minutes before I was supposed to teach, the other student who is teaching in this class (we teach small groups) wanted to study for the test. Okay, that's fine. Except she was so unprepared for the test, I panicked. Don't ask; it's just me.
The test was pretty easy. At least, it wasn't as hard as I thought.
I stupidly did not go to the gym today, but I've also been hacking and coughing all afternoon, so I'm going to pretend that's okay and go on Saturday. I"m trying to write the second draft of heat, but keep getting distracted by Sentinel AU's. For some reason, I love them. Normally, I want the AU to be as close to the show as possible, with only a few minor changes. But with Sentinel, I like reading fic where both boys are different and they meet in different ways. I am, however, disappointed I can't find a pirate AU. Don't ask why I want one; it's a shameful thing, but I still do.
