Ah, Monday
Mar. 3rd, 2003 08:22 amI hate Mondays. Not on prinicple, mind you. There are some exciting things about the first offical day of the week (that isn't Sunday, I mean), or ate least, there used to be. One good thing about Monday is that there's only one day left until Tuesday which, since BTVS and now Smallville, is one of the best days of the week. And, when I'm a teacher, I'm sure I'll look foreward to opening the weeks with my students, at least most of the time.
Now, however, Monday means going back to the college, seeing people I've seen for the past 6 years, feeling alone and isolated. You know, story of my life and all that shit.
Even though I haven't yet recieved final confirmation that COTW 33 (the smut fic) is ready from Fabrisse, I've a) sent it to beta 2 and b) pretty much finished COTW 34. I'm not editing 34 and working on 35, which is the Heat fic. The Heat fic is hard because I finally decided I've basically have to rewrite the episode. Now, normally I don't do it so drastically; I'm bascially going through the scenes right now, stealing dialogue and adding my own stuff. I don't usually like fic that does this because if I wanted to read the episode, I'd read the transcript. But, in this case, I kind of have to do it. Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense in the COTW-verse. While it's kind of hard and time consuming, it's also sort of fun. I get to fix the 'mistakes' and write what was _really_ going on.
