Rosetta babbling
Feb. 26th, 2003 08:29 amI _really_ enjoyed this episode. I was very happy with the way they ended it, because I really don't want Clark to be comfortable with his heritage yet or know too much. They ended it on the right angsty note that made that little tight knot in me relax. Not that it mattered all that much, because the rest of the episode was so well done, that I was sold.
The let that poor brain dead monkey rest! At least for an episode and did their own job.
The Lana/Chloe storyline was fine, sort of. I don't get the connection someone made where Chloe was being a hypocrite because she freaked out at Lana and yet published the pictures of the Kent's barn. I get that she was being a hypocrite period, but the barn fire probably would have been reported anyway, and the pictures published in the town paper. She just put a stupid spin on it.
I just need to figure out if they had a symbol for 'forever' and if they showed it. Not that I can show the figure in the COTW, but I can refer to it. And I'm REALLY glad Clark didn't actually speak Krypton; I don't want to be jossed that badly.
Oh! And the expression on Clark's face when Swann said, "Kal-El," looked to me like Clark was thinking, "Oh. Kal. Kal-El. I get it." But I like to think that COTW is canon, so I could be wrong.
Oh, and since I'm writing while watching: the shot of the Kent's in the group hug was so beautiful. I need a screen cap of that.
