More Thor thoughts

While I don't think that had Loki been hugged more as a child or whatever (hey, many of us feel as if we're not as loved as other siblings, etc; that doesn't mean our parents aren't loving us the best they can. Odin may not be Father of the Year, but he wasn't Lionel Luthor), I do think that, had Thor tackle-hugged Loki on the Bifrost when Loki asked him if his plan was crazy (Is it? Is it? IS IT????) with tears in his eyes, the ending could have been averted. (This does not make it Thor's fault; I'm just saying, you know. Fanfic wise, it wouldn't have been OCC for Loki to stop if his brother grabbed him and held on. He'd cracked on finding out he was a Frost Giant; I don't think he was inherently evil).
Also...Oh! I saw a post on... tumblr or something where they said that Thor tried to do the same thing as Loki (aka kill all the Frost Giants).
No, he didn't. He rushed over to fight Frost Giants, wanting to kill those in charge of invading Asgard. I don't think that he would have slaughtered civilians/children/etc. (at least, I hope not). Loki tried to wipe them all out of existence without a fight. Big difference. (And it makes not difference that baby!Thor said he wanted to kill them all; he was a kid and kids are stupid like that).
Let's face it: Thor wanted to kill an enemy. Loki thought that by committing genocide on a race, he could eradicate the truth from himself. Thor's plan was that of a child's (seriously, you take 5 people to invade a planet); Loki's was that of a madman.
I do love Loki, though.
