I'm not entirely sure about the plot of the episode. It was something about the son of some despot ordering a hit on his father, getting him killed off the coast of Djibouti or Somalia, then killing off everyone involved.

Anyway, Captain Ross was working with the FBI to help bring down terrorists in... Somalia or something, but was killed. Goren and Eames were trying to figure out who killed their captain. Goren lost it and attacked a suspect (he pushed him against the wall), got suspended and, of course, continued to investigate on his own. Anyway, in the end, Goren agreed to work with the FBI to continue what Ross was doing, argued for letting the main baddie go to maybe take down terrorists thousands of miles away (way OOC) and then got fired from the force. By Eames, who'd been made pro-temp captain. Then she quit.

Basically, it was a stupid, convoluted plot, Goren was way out of character, and a shitty way to send them off. I was very disappointed.

Man, I'm glad I missed it. Wonder why they bothered with this season at all. Might as well just have a whole new show: Law & Order: Jeff Goldblum or something... (I don't mind Jeff Goldblum, but it's not Criminal Intent without Goren and Eames. And Eames fired Goren? Really? That doesn't seem very likely. Did they lose all their good writers, or what?) Thanks for letting us know what happened. I'm just sorry they screwed up the show so much.

All they want is the Jeff Goldblum show; personally, I liked it better when it was called "Raines". That was an awesomeshow.

Eames fired Goren to save him from being dragged in front of circus hearing or be let go by someone who didn't care about him as much as she did. So, it made sense in a way, but it was still stupid.

They must have lost all their good writers. I'm watching "Frame" from season seven (when John Glover killed off everyone "standing in Bobby's way) and it's brilliant; heck, even *this*would have been a better goodbye for Goren.

So, yeah. Stay away from the last ep. It was bad, bad, bad.

Yes! I loved that show. Too bad it only lasted a few episodes. It was interesting.
